Everyone Likes Their Own Brand

I created Pookie-O’s cereal by starting with a blue background. I created a yellow and two white layers on top. I used the cookie cutter tool to cut out clouds and a sun and place them strategically. Then I opened the picture of Jesse and used the magic eraser to erase the background of the picture and the move tool to put it onto the cereal box. I used the type tool to write Pookie-O’s in the sky. I applied simple inner bevels to the lettering and Jesse and then a deep shadow to just Jesse.

Lets Switch It Up

First I rotated the picture of Carly. Then I used the rectangular marquee tool to cut out Carly’s head. Then I used the move tool to move Carly’s head onto Sparky’s body. I adjusted the size, then adjusted the hue and contrast to closely match Sparky’s skin tone as best as possible.

Lets Switch

Old Times are Good Times

I took this picture of my friends Zaida and Rachel. First, to make it look older, I went into the effects palette and made the picture sepia. Then I used filter, craquelure to add cracks to the picture. Then I choose a vignette frame around the edges. I created a cut out and then switched to darken mode so the edges of the frame would show up.

Raina as a Cartoon

This is my dog Raina. Cute I know. I kind of think it would be cool if we made her a cartoon.

First I will create a new layer over top Raina and fill it with white. I'm going to turn the opacity of the layer down to about 70% so I can see Raina behind the layer. I'm going to use the brush tool to trace the outsides and important parts like her eyes, mouth, and any area where the color changes.

Use the eyedropper tool to sample the colors you need to color your cartoon in. Simply use the paint bucket to fill the areas you've traced with the colors you sample.

Bumper Stickers :)

I like bumper stickers. I think they are really funny... well the funny ones are funny. I want to make my own bumper sticker for my car... a really good one. This will be fun.

First create a new blank file. 11 inches x 3 inches should do it. Make a few layers if you want to use the cookie cutter tool at some point in time. Choose the type tool and write a silly or clever message... or whatever you want. Sense I was listening to Sir Mix Alot this morning, i think I'll use some back. :)

I found some pictures of large trucker ladies and i will add them to my bumper sticker.

Ta da! I like it :)

black, white, splash

When I was five I was a Teletubby for Halloween. Don't laugh joto no es divertido... my dad took this picture and its cute... but I think I could make it cuter.

What if i made everything black and white except the Teletubby suits? I like that idea.

First I will make a new saturation layer so i can turn the picture black and white...

Make sure you turn the saturation all the way down or else the picture wont be totally black and white.

After you make the new layer just select the brush tool. Make sure the foreground color is set to black and the background color is set to white. Just paint over the colors you want to show up.

If you mess up and want to go back to black and white just switch the foreground and background colors so that you are painting with white. Then the colors should fade back to black.

Ta Da!! Aren't we cute :)
